Dr. Samuel Wood graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in 1996. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas in 1999. He completed his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, in 2002. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.
Our Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and Doctorate Nurse Practitioner (DNP) that work at Oncology Associates have a graduate degrees in nursing and have become specialists in working with Oncology/hematology patients. They work in collaboration with the physicians and nurses to provide the patient optimal care. The nurse practitioners offer services of prevention, education, diagnosis, and treatment while receiving your cancer care. Also, they provide follow up care after treatments have finished. You can expect they will provide the same compassion and quality of care that you experience with your physician.
